Description This sump stud kit is designed to replace your old short sump studs when replacing your oil pan, They are long enough to use in combination with our RX-8 sump baffle and even when using the GReddy Sump and out oil baffle plate. They will also work on your RX-7 FD or FC even when using an oil pan brace, The Studs are made of high tensile steel that is zinc plated to resist corrosion. The nuts are stainless steel so will not corrode and are serrated on the rear of the flange to help prevent your new fastener kit from coming loose once installed. We would recommend adding a dab of Loctite blue to each stud before installing them in to your engine block, and waiting a few minuted for it to set. Once installed this stud kit will make aligning your oil pan and sump baffle plate a breeze. the high tensile studs greatly reduce the risk of sheering a bolt off when torquing your oil pan down to spec. Each kit comes with 22 studs and 22 nuts this is enough to do one RX-8 Oil Pan or an FC or FD oil pan with a few to spare.
