INSTALL GUIDELINES VW/Audi 4 Cylinder Calico Coated Main Bearing Sets include 6 bearings with oil grooves and 4 without. The #4 journal will receive the oil groove on both sides of the journal, the rest have a grooved bearing on the block side only. OPTIONAL OVERSIZE BEARINGS For extreme applications where crankshaft or journal clearances may measure larger after machining, optional .001 oversized bearings are available. Extreme care to verify proper clearances and measurements should be taken when installing any bearing.
