Description Essex Rotary brings you our version 2 lightweight under drive pulley kit, this kit replaces all three main pulleys on the RX-8’s 13b-MSP RENESIS engine. Main Crank Pulley Alternator Pulley Water Pump Pulley Under-drive pulleys reduce the potential for Water Pump cavitation and over working of the Alternator at the high RPM ranges the Rotary Engine can operate at. Available in 4 Striking Colors Raw Silver Blaze Red Alumite Blue Midnight Purple Sunset Gold (NEW) These Lightweight Pulleys are CNC machined from super light but extremely strong 6061-T6 Aluminium Alloy. reducing rotational weight from the crank and associated ancillaries will theoretically frees up horsepower normally used to turn/rotare the heavier pulleys and ancillaries (though Essex Rotary make no claim to proven HP gains when using under drive kits) Cavitation Cavitation is a process where by your water pump impeller acts like a “whisk” at high RPM beating air bubbles in to the coolant mixture, this process dramatically reduces coolant efficiency as the increasing cavitation effect reduces coolant flow around the engine. Each kit comes with Main Crank Pulley Alternator Pulley Water Pump Pulley Gates Main Drive Belt Gates Accessory Belt (for A/C) Stainless Steel Hardware Kit The 2 genuine Gates drive belts, one is for your alternator and water pump and the second to drive your air conditioning compressor, as the OEM size belts will no longer fit. This 3 piece kit has the same size water pump pulley as our 2 piece kit however the alternator pulley is slightly smaller in overall diameter. This is the same pulley kit we have used on our Project  Superlight Track Car. This kit is designed to for the 2003-2008 Series 1 RX-8 only as the water pump pulley on the later 2008-2013 R3 is a different design.
